Terex Atlas restructured

Terex Corp. has successfully completed the restructuring of the German Atlas organisation following its take-over in December 2001.
Due to significant financial investment and management commitment by Terex, Atlas has implemented plans to guarantee the future production, sales and service of its market-leading range of excavators, material handlers, rail-roaders and truck-mounted cranes, it is explained. The restructuring programme has created dedicated but integrated manufacturing, sales and service resources for both excavators and cranes in order to provide for optimum growth potential in each specialist market sector.
Terex Trucks Germany’s Business Development Manager Frank Frickenstein has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director of Terex Atlas. Positive results are already being achieved with sales 27% higher in 2003 in some business sectors compared to the same period last year. To reinforce a drive into new markets, new distribution agreements have been established in key markets such as the U.K., Spain, France, the U.S. and Italy.
