Archiv – Members of the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG) have decided that the group’s headquarters and secretariat are to be co-located with the secretariats of the International Nickel Study Group (INSG) and International Copper Study Group (ICSG) in the Portuguese capital Lisbon.Members of the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG) have decided that the group’s headquarters and secretariat are to be co-located with the secretariats of the International Nickel Study Group (INSG) and International Copper Study Group (ICSG) in the Portuguese capital Lisbon. The secretariats will come under a newly-appointed joint Secretary-General in Lisbon with effect from the beginning of 2006.
The move is expected to result in significant operating cost savings and will promote collaborative work across the major non-ferrous metals.
As host country to the combined secretariats of the three study groups, Portugal has announced its intention to become the 28th member of the ILZSG.
