* Metso Lindemann
CFF Recycling USA of Houston, Texas, has purchased the first Metso Lindemann 9000 Power Zerdirator shredder in the U.S. Sold by Metso Lindemann’s North American division, the shredder has several protective hydraulic features that increase availability and prevent risk of damage due to unshreddables, including hydraulic locking of rotor bearings, a hydraulic anvil clamping device, a hydraulic ejection door, and a hydraulic device for disassembly of hammer axles. Long-life caps protect the hammer pins and rotor disks and increase the flywheel effect of the rotor such that fewer energy peaks occur, the company explains. The shredder also boasts features designed to limit dust, noise and vibration.
CFF Recycling recently purchased a Metso Lindemann 1380-ton shear for its Houston operation.

Powered by a 200 hp direct-drive electric motor, the shredder also features SSI’€™s advanced cutter locking system, which keeps the stack of knives tight while allowing for minimal maintenance and quicker knife changes.
