Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, Sancon has established several waste recycling facilities in the cities of Shanghai, Chengdu, Tianjin and Dongguan to serve customers on a national basis. Sancon plans to establish recycling sites in more than 20 cities by the end of 2007.
To date, waste management and recycling licences in China have been available only to domestic companies. Sancon’s recycling facilities will focus initially on processing and recycling consumer product packaging into reusable raw materials before expanding into other areas of waste management.
