USA | Known until recently as Mobieyes, Inc., Florida-based recycler Resource Exchange of America Corporation (RXAC) is taking over the operations of UTP Holdings – a fellow US firm specialising in the shipment of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from North America and the Caribbean.
RXAC’s CFO, Treasurer and Secretary David Finkelstein observes: ’This acquisition lays the groundwork for what we will accomplish by aggregating all aspects of the recycling business, from scrap acquisition through to processing and eventual sales of the end product.’
With UTP’s proximity to international market access paths, the acquisition establishes RXAC as a force in a global marketplace and serves its goal of rationalising a fragmented global recycling system to provide a dependable and consistent solution for its global clientele, the company explains.
Earlier this year, Dana J. Pekas was appointed CEO and President of RXAC, Mr Finkelstein became CFO, Treasurer and Secretary, and Clarence M. McCulley was named COO.
