United States – The countdown has begun to the Annual Convention and Exposition of the US Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), which is set to take place on April 14-19 next year at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
ISRI 2018 will provide scrap recyclers from around the world with the educational and networking opportunities, product showcases and industry news needed to maximise their time, money and return on investment, says the Washington-based organisation.
Keynote speaker at the opening general session will be Carlos Gutierrez, former secretary of commerce in the George W. Bush administration. He will bring to the convention his business experience and knowledge of commodities as former ceo of the Kellogg Company. Today, he serves as co-chair of the Albright Stonebridge Group and sits on the board of Time Warner Inc.
The convention workshops in Las Vegas will focus on what ISRI describes as ‘putting the business odds in your favour for a more successful future’.
ISRI’s trade show floor at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will host a wide array of exhibitors offering equipment and software designed to lower operating costs and improve productivity.
