In the next twelve months the company will increase its capacity by 100,000 tonnes. One of the two new facilities will focus itself on mechanical recycling of PET bottles from the German dual collection systems while otherwise this material will contaminate the stream of high-quality German returnable bottles.
Plastrade operates recycling plants with a mothly capacity of 2,000 tonnes since 2004 in Lüneburg (Lower Saxony), and since the spring of 2008 in Kerpen, near Cologne. Through modern sorting, grinding, separating and washing, the flakes ‘€’divided in product quality- are shipped to plastic processors worldwide.
