Tom Bird has been appointed for a two-year term as the new President of the European Ferrous Recovery and Recycling Association (EFR), the Brussels-based BIR daughter association for steel and ferrous recovery and recycling within the EU. He succeeds Christian Rubach of Interseroh in Germany.
Aged 43, Mr Bird is Managing Director of Metals Recycling, Sims Group UK – one of the largest metal recycling companies in Europe and part of the world-renowned Sims Group which has its headquarters in Sydney, Australia.

Hund as Vice-President of Worldwide Marketing. Mr Hund will be responsible for strategic planning, direction and execution of marketing functions. He succeeds and will report to Larry Bryce, who has been promoted to the new role of Vice-President of Business Development for the Crane Group.
