New Product | Cogelme of Italy has introduced a new system for separating non-ferrous metals from plastics. Said to be capable of achieving purity levels of 95% or more, it will sort non-ferrous fragments as small as 2 mm in size from ground plastic which is diverted directly into collection bags.
The system is based on connecting an eddy-current separator to a worm screw. The unit is equipped with wheels for mobility and requires less space than conveyor-based systems, according to the manufacturer.
