United Kingdom – Prysm Group, a Bristol-based company which dubs itself ‘the fastest growing independent trade exhibition organiser in the UK’, has taken over the annual RWM with CIWM show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
Prysm has paid organiser Ascential an undisclosed sum for the show in a deal signed shortly before the new year. Plans have already been announced to switch the UK’s long-established and largest recycling and waste management show from a three-day event in September to two days in October.
According to the CIWM (Chartered Institution of Wastes Management), it is ‘very positive’ about the possibilities offered by this new involvement in the show.
Prysm Group has been organising business-to-business trade exhibitions for over 17 years and now boasts a portfolio of more than two dozen shows across the UK. Its clearest existing link to the environment lies in its Contamination Expo Series of shows covering, among other matters, land remediation, clean air and hazardous materials.
