The Terminator XF slow-running, single-shaft shredder is claimed to be resistant to contraries and provides comparatively fine and homogeneous pre-shredding, according to the manufacturer. Material pre-treated in this way is then directed to a BRINI ballistic separator from which four different fractions are extracted: a laminar light fraction free of contraries; an inhomogeneous, three-dimensional rolling fraction; and two screen fractions of 0-40 mm and 40-100 mm. The second of these is suitable as a fluidised bed fraction without any further treatment.
A furnace-ready fuel is then produced by shredding the light fraction. The generation of an injectable fuel fraction (
