New facility for OneSteel Recycling

The facility’s US$ 25 million (Euro 16 million) shredder is expected to process some 150 000 tonnes of scrap in its first year, the company says. The recycling company’s parent is OneSteel Ltd, an Australia-based mining, ore processing and steel manufacturing business specialising in long steel products for the construction, housing and agricultural industries. OneSteel Ltd merged with fellow Australian company Smorgon Steel in August 2007.
