New baling line from Austropressen

Archiv – New Product | Austrian company Austropressen has launched the APK series of paper and carton baling presses as well as a can crushing system.
The APK units are available in six sizes with pressures ranging from 16 to 125 tonnes. Meanwhile, Austropressen’s DS-A 700 fully-automatic can crusher presses using four cylinders and three flaps in a single cycle. Applying a pressure of 80 tonnes, it can achieve a density of 1400 kg/m² for steel cans; in combination with a conveyor, throughputs of 3 tonnes per hour can be attained. The machine is controlled by a PLC from Siemens while its grooved wear plates are said to guarantee longer machine life.
According to Austropressen, the DS-A 700 is ideal for handling cans derived at sorting plants.
