Millionth machine from JCB

United Kingdom – Renowned equipment manufacturer JCB has reached a notable milestone after 67 years in operation: the company is celebrating the millionth machine to roll off the production line. This translates into ‘€˜enough diggers to stretch from the UK to Australia’€™, the company notes.‘€˜Incredibly, one third of all the machines has been produced in the last six years,’€™ says JCB chairman Sir Anthony Bamford. This production achievement is the direct result of ‘€˜huge effort’€™ by the JCB team past and present; and given the company’€™s continuing growth, it will be able to complete its two millionth machine ‘€˜in considerably less time’€™, he contends.

The landmark was celebrated at JCB’€™s world headquarters at Rocester in the UK. According to the company, festivities will continue over the next five weeks as more than 2500 dealers and customers are expected to attend its upcoming product conference which will be JCB’€™s ‘€˜biggest event ever’€™ and which will feature machine innovations not seen to date.
