Maersk Line to increase Asia-Europe rates

International – Maersk Line has announced a US$ 775 increase in its Asia-Europe shipping rates with effect from March 1.

The hike will be applied to all dry cargo shipped from any Asian port to destinations in North Europe and the Mediterranean.

The introduction of an increase has been widely anticipated as shipping lines continue to grapple with the twin problems of poor demand for their services and substantial financial losses.
