United States – Kuusakoski Recycling, the US subsidiary of Finland’s Kuusakoski Group Oy, has signed an agreement to acquire the remaining shares of its joint venture partnership with Illinois-based Vintage Tech Recyclers in a move that will enable the merging of processes as well as customer service expertise.
As a result, claims Kuusakoski, the enterprise will serve as a ′one-stop global resource′ for the electronic recycling and refurbishing needs of businesses, and will ensure it can ′provide a wider range of products and services′.
Kuusakoski US president and ceo Rich Hipp comments: ′The US market is clearly under tremendous pressure. We strongly believe our combined resources of technology, people and capital investments will allow us to be capable of delivering tremendous value to our mutual customers.′
Karrie Gibson, Vintage Tech′s founder and ceo, says the two companies are ′an excellent strategic fit′ for the industry. The joint position in the global market will be cemented owing to Kuusakoski′s ′state-of-the-art processing management system′ and Vintage Tech′s ′best-in-class collection infrastructure′.
