Joint venture Alcoa and Novelis targets UBCs

The brand-new company, named Evermore Recycling LLC is designed to create value by increasing efficiency, building stronger supplier relationships, and increasing recycling.
According to the partnering companies, Evermore Recycling will provide suppliers a direct relationship with two of the leading consumers and processors of UBCs within North America which is vital to achieving long-term success for the recycling industry.

According to the partnering companies, Evermore Recycling will provide suppliers a direct relationship with two of the leading consumers and processors of UBCs within North America which is vital to achieving long-term success for the recycling industry.
In addition to purchasing metal, Evermore Recycling is committed to raising the UBC recycling rate in the US toward the aluminium industry’s objective of 75%. Achieving this target would reduce carbon emissions by approximately 9 million tons annually. Evermore will increase purchases of UBCs through both collection initiatives and the development of a broader supply base locally and internationally.
