United States – The US Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has received a 2015 MarCom Platinum Award for its iPhone and Android app ISRI Mobile, which provides safety resources, industry news and events, commodity facts and figures, and ISRI Chapter listings.
ISRI members can use a searchable directory, connect with state and federal elected officials, and also read latest publications and governance documents. ‘ISRI Mobile was designed to be a cutting-edge app that provides recyclers with the tools and resources they need to conduct business wherever they may be,’ comments Mark Carpenter, ISRI’s director of media relations and online communications. ‘It is an honour for ISRI to be recognised by those in the communications and marketing field as a leader in such technology.’
The international MarCom Awards recognise outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals, this year receiving some 6500 entries from more than a dozen countries. The competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
