Combining high production with low maintenance and ease of use, the L3600 provides operators with the ability to adjust both throttle levels and bale density from inside the cab. With the flip of a switch, the operator can select one of three different bale densities. Material handling and loading are made fast and easy, according to GSS, with a four-tine, grapple-equipped boom offering 555° continuous rotation.
The L3600 is powered by a 166 hp John Deere engine and has a large baling chamber measuring 70 inches wide by 90 inches deep by 192 inches long. The chamber is lower than those on many competing units in order to afford the operator improved visibility during processing.
Bales produced by the L3600 can be of variable length while measuring 36 inches wide and 24 inches deep; bale densities range from 30 to 60 lb per cubic foot with the average falling in the 35-40 lb/cubic foot range. The machine’s fully-automated baling cycle – doors close/ram in/ram out/doors open – provides for simple, one-person operation.
GSS is a leading manufacturer of size reduction/processing equipment and systems used in a broad range of applications. These include the processing of plastics, scrap tyres, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as solid, hazardous and in-plant wastes.
