The new mobile cutter boasts a compact and lightweight design which lends itself to use ’in the field’. Capable of cutting catalytic converters from end-of-life vehicles, the ICU 5 can also handle a range of other recycling and demolition tasks, including the cutting of telephone, electricity, ground and steel cables, steel plate, tubes, pipes, door and window frames, and also wood. Manufactured from high-grade aluminium, the lightness of this tool aids productivity and reduces the physical effort required by the user.
Holmatro has developed a versatile blade design for the ICU 5: a straight-toothed part for grip and cutting performance, and a curved outer part to pull in material. The ICU 5 also features a dead-man function as well as shielded moving parts and requires both hands to operate, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.
