For cutting aluminium and copper cable, Holmatro has developed blade guides for the ICU 05 to control the play between the blades such that they cut straight in relation to each other and do not become distorted or separated. Also, a special protective coating prevents material from sticking to the blades and enables the cutter to maintain its maximum cutting force and life span.
The ICU 05’s blades are interchangeable with other blade types. The cutter can therefore be used for other applications, including cutting catalytic converters from end-of-life vehicles, as well as for cutting steel plate, tubes, pipes, door and window frames, and wood.
