Gerdau buys Canadian scrap processor

Archiv – Mini-mill steel producer Gerdau Ameristeel from Brazil has acquired Canadian Metro Recycling, a scrap processor headquartered in Guelph, Ontario. According to Gerdau, Metro Recycling is a premier central Ontario recycler with three locations, two in Guelph and the other in Mississauga. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
