Dual-chamber Granule Grinder

Archiv – Australian company Progressivecrumb has introduced a new dual-chamber grinder for tyre recycling duties. Australian company Progressivecrumb has introduced a new dual-chamber grinder for tyre recycling duties. Said to utilise brand new grinding and motor/torque technology, the new Granule Grinder replaces three earlier models from the same company and uses virtually no more power than the old standard single-chamber grinder, according to Progressivecrumb.
Among the principal advantages of the machine is its ability to grind up to 2 tonnes per hour to -30 mesh. The grinder utilises a single 380/415/440/480 V 50hz or 60hz 132 kW six-pole motor instead of three four-pole motors, thus reducing electrical power consumption in the plant by a minimum of 400 A, according to Progressivecrumb.
The unit is also said to take up less space than three granule grinders and to reduce the amount of cabling required for plant set-up.
