Deal announced between ARM and AMG

United States – Stainless steel and alloy scrap specialist AMG Resources Corp., which operates processing facilities and commercial offices in the USA and the UK, has announced its affiliate’€™s acquisition of a 50% stake in Allegheny Raw Materials LLC (ARM), which is also a processor of stainless steel, alloys and other specialty scrap metal products.

Both companies are based in the US city of Pittsburgh. ARM operates five scrap processing facilities in western Pennsylvania as well as a ferrous and non-ferrous scrap brokerage business. In addition, its mill services division develops specialty blends and optimised, least-cost charges, as well as performing onsite processing, handling and testing services for specialty steelmakers.

The deal with AMG ‘will enable Allegheny Raw Materials to further grow its processing, brokerage and mill service businesses’, states ARM president Damian Eonta. AMG and its affiliates now operate a total of 17 scrap processing facilities and 17 commercial offices in the USA and the UK.
