Cronimet unveils Asian HQ and scrap facility

Covering more than 54 000 square metres, including 25 517 square metres of warehouse space, this is claimed to be one of the largest facilities of its type in Asia. The operation comprises ’state-of-the-art technical and environmental equipment’ which ’guarantees immediate unloading, testing, processing and analyzing’, according to Cronimet.
Cronimet Shanghai Co. will be capable of accepting all types of secondary materials, such as alloys of chrome, nickel, molybdenum, cobalt, vanadium and titanium, as well as their metals; the initial focus will be on stainless steel. Containers can also be delivered with combinations of different metal types which, after proper handling, will be delivered to Chinese steel mills, the company explains.
Cronimet established a sales agency in Shanghai some five years ago as part of its bid to expand business between Europe/the USA and Asia. With its Hong Kong partner Bright Vision, Cronimet Shanghai Co. was founded in 2006 so as further to improve services to suppliers and customers.
