New features increase the strength and reliability of the equipment while offering a better shape for penetration and filling of bulk materials. Improved rotation and newly-designed tines and tine suspension ensure reliable and improved performance, says CWT. The grapples can be used in a wide range of applications such as handling shredded scrap, long structural beams or car bodies. Equally, they can be employed to handle waste at recycling and transfer stations as well as rocks at construction sites.
The GSH B-series, for which an 18-month warranty comes as standard, was developed with an extensive field test programme covering a wide range of machines and applications. The Orange Peel Grapples feature fully-protected hydraulic cylinders and a hydraulic or mechanical (optional), maintenance-free, bi-directional 360° rotation system. The new series is available with four or five tines and open, semi-closed and closed grab tines.
The new design ensures maximum protection of the hydraulics through integration of the hydraulic cylinders into the tines and via a guard which protects the hydraulic couplers and lines. Lubrication points and hydraulic components are accessible behind the covering guards.
