The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has decided to completely cancel ISRI2020, initially scheduled for next month in Las Vegas. ‘Rescheduling, or even relocating this flagship event now proves to be simply impossible’, the trade body reports.
‘This means that ISRI will be looking ahead to ISRI2021 in San Diego as the next large-scale annual convention and exhibition for our industry.’
‘We are all very disappointed, but the safety and well-being of all involved is of most importance,’comments ISRI’s president Robin Wiener.
ISRI is working on providing additional programming to help members deal with the economic, and health and safety concerns surround the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the organisation will be offering many of the same educational programmes that were to be offered at the convention online.
