Recycling International bids farewell to long-time colleague Judith Wanjala, who is joining the European Electronics Recyclers Association (Eera) as policy, communications and members’ officer. She starts her new role on 1 October and will support Eera’s ceo Julie-Ann Adams.

Judith has worked as sales manager at Recycling International since 2013, building close relationships with clients and recycling stakeholders worldwide. Her energy, sense of humour and professionalism have made her a trusted partner and a lively presence at industry events.

Global view

Born and raised in Kenya, Judith moved to the Netherlands almost 30 years ago. She speaks fluent Swahili, Dutch and English, and is also well versed in German. Her international outlook has helped shape the magazine’s global perspective and connect experts across continents.

‘Passion and expertise’

‘It has been an honour to share stories from the recycling world and to work alongside so many dedicated people,’ Judith says. ‘I am eager to keep learning and excited to continue contributing to the industry in my new Eera role. I will always value the friendships and trust built through Recycling International.’

‘The entire team will miss Judith’s vibrant spirit and industry know-how,’ says Recycling International’s chief editor Martijn Reintjes. ‘We wish her every success as she brings her passion and expertise to Europe’s electronics recyclers,’ adds associate editor Kirstin Linnenkoper.

New man on board

Bert Brassée is taking over as Recycling International’s sales manager in October. Brassée brings 25 years of experience in B2B publishing, including 15 years in the metals industry, primarily across Germany, the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. He studied German literature, speaks fluent German and is eager to expand his global network.

‘I realise I have some big shoes to fill and I look forward to meeting recyclers and tech providers at the upcoming Pollutec expo in Lyon in October,’ Brassée says.
