Electronics recycling innovators are being welcomed to the E-waste World Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, on 11-12 June. This year’s comprehensive event has been expanded to include dedicated talks about IT Asset Disposition (ITAD).

Europe’s largest e-scrap recycling show is being strengthened with even more detailed insights into the industry’s best practices. An ITAD track is being integrated into the circular electronics programme to complement talks about global e-cycling developments and the recycling of batteries, critical raw materials and metals.

Expansion crucial

The addition of ITAD to circular electronics reflects the growing demand for sustainable asset recovery, secure data destruction and circular supply chain solutions. ‘Industries face mounting pressure to extend product lifecycles, recover valuable materials and comply with tightening global regulations,’ says event organiser TransWorld Events.

Latest available data from Custom Market Insights shows the worldwide ITAD sector was worth US$ 14.2 billion (EUR 13 billion) in 2021. It is expected to double to US$ 28.6 billion by 2030, representing a 7.6% compound annual growth rate.

Event format

The exhibition will feature 300+ industry leaders showcasing solutions spanning electronics recycling, ITAD, AI-driven automation, battery and metal recovery. Those exhibiting include AKSA Magnet, Barradas, BitRaser, HP, Siemens, CeNTI, Eldan Recycling and SK Tes.

Meanwhile, more than 130 conference speakers cover extended producer responsibility, supply chain circularity, new regulations etc. Confirmed speakers include recycling experts from SERI, EBRA, Critical Minerals Association, Landbell Group, Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, Fortum and S&P Global.

The event provides an excellent networking opportunity, connecting 3 500+ industry professionals. Visitors range from policymakers, recyclers and technology pioneers to researchers and investors. Among the delegates registered are people from Bosch, Braun, ExxonMobil, Nokia, Lenovo, LG, BMW, Amazon, Jaguar, Ebay, Continental and Panasonic.
