Burrage powers into leadership list

BIR president Susie Burrage has been included in a list of the most influential business women in the UK.

The Leadership Power List was established by Management Today last year and honours motivational women with a demonstrable track record of business success, excelling in their respective fields. 
Open to senior leaders in organisations of all sizes, those selected had to demonstrate their impact on key business metrics such as increasing revenues or profitability, improving the effectiveness of a function or helping a business expand into new markets. 

‘Truly excited’

Burrage, who in May was re-elected to serve a second term as BIR President, is md of Recycled Products based in Chesham, UK. She is the fourth generation of her family to own a metal recycling facility. She is also president of the British Metals Recycling Association.

Burrage says she is ‘truly excited’ to be on the list. ‘During my time in the recycling industry, the prominence and importance of recycling has risen due to the shift in everyone’s focus on protecting our planet and mitigating climate change. I am very proud of the key role that recycling plays in the circular economy and reaching climate neutral objectives.’
