* Mayfran
Mayfran International’s manufacturing and engineering services have expanded into China with the opening of a 37 000-square-foot plant in Shanghai. Tsubakimoto Mayfran Conveyor (Shanghai) Ltd is Mayfran’€™s sixth manufacturing facility, with the others being in the USA, The Netherlands, Japan, Korea and India. The new facility, in Shanghai’€™s Jiading Industrial Zone, operates in partnership with the Japanese operation Tsubakimoto Mayfran. Its initial focus will be on making large-scale stamping scrap conveyor systems as well as conveyors and separators for machine tools.
* Stahlwerke Bochum
Norddeutsche Private Equity (NPE) has sold its 85% participating interest in Stahlwerke Bochum to the company management team of Bruno Mayer and Wolfgang Callies. The pair now own 100% of the company’€™s shares. Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH, whose production site is located at Bochum, is a leading manufacturer of high-strength cast steel wear parts used in industrial shredders as well as in the stone and minerals industries. Exports account for 70% of the company’€™s sales.
* Cronimet
Cronimet Holding of Karlsruhe has successfully concluded the acquisition of fellow German firm Metalloy Metall-Legierungen of Norderstedt, Germany. Metalloy specialises in the recycling of high-performance materials such as special and super alloys, high nickel-base and cobalt-base alloys, plus titanium and titanium alloys. Family-owned Cronimet now has more than 50 sites worldwide and has been specialising in supplying raw materials to the special steel recycling industries for 25 years.
