* American Pulverizer
American Pulverizer Co. is extending its St Louis manufacturing complex to 11 acres under a three-phase expansion programme.
In the first phase taking place in May this year, the company will relocate its headquarters to a new two-storey office in St Louis. The company’s shipping and receiving functions will be relocated to a larger location; three shipping bays are being added to expedite shipments and meet customer needs. By November this year, the company plans to have completed an extension measuring 32 000 square feet to its current manufacturing facility.
In the final phase of the programme, with should be completed by 2009, the company’€™s fabrication shop will be expanded to improve material flow and other efficiencies.

* Innov-X Systems
Elemental analyser manufacturer Innov-X Systems Inc. of Woburn, Massachusetts, USA, has announced the receipt of a US$ 27 million (Euro 20.8 million) minority investment from Summit Partners – a private equity and venture capital firm based in Boston, USA, which has raised almost US$ 9 billion (Euro 6.9 billion) in capital since its formation in 1984.
Founded in 2001, Innov-X is a privately-held company with offices in North America, Europe and Asia. It develops portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology for elemental analysis and its products have been used in a wide variety of applications ranging from alloy analysis, RoHS/WEEE compliance and forensics, to analysing the remains of the Discovery shuttle wreckage.

* Sennebogen
The Germany-based Sennebogen Group, whose products include material handling machines, has announced plans to build a new plant for assembling industrial equipment at the Straubing-Sand industrial park. According to current plans, the new facility will boast an initial surface area of more than 100 000 square metres, although there is an option for further expansion within the industrial park. The company points to growing global demand for large material loading and lifting machinery as a key factor behind its decision to build the new plant. Building work is set to begin in the spring, with production scheduled to start in early 2008.
