BIR – BIR Treasurer Björn Grufman has been elected as the new President of the world recycling organisation. Mr Grufmann, a Swede, is owner and CEO of Metallvarden, a Stockholm-based trader and processor of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. He replaces Dominique Manguin from French Paprec, who served two terms as President.
The Papyrus Prize is awarded twice a year, at BIR’s Spring and Autumn conventions, and can recognise individuals as well as companies and organisations for their services to the paper recycling industry.
Mr. Baxi said the shipping industry was an invaluable partner to the industry. APL had invested heavily in global services and in establishing a good partnership with the sector.
