‘Digitalisation is no stranger to the recycling industry and digital solutions are increasingly used by the industry,’ observes the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation. The trade body will organise a conference in Berlin next week addressing today’s most pressing issues to recyclers around the world.
International recycling players will gather in Germany’s capital next Monday (10 September) to discuss new policies, best practices and key recycling trends. One hot topic is, of course, the trade restrictions impacting plastic scrap and paper.
European Commission representative Julias Langendorf will give the keynote speech, in which he will present the outcome of revised EU waste legislation and its current implementation. Also, Kai Bembenek of software company Tegos GmbH will share insights regarding the ‘digital transformation’ of the recycling sector.
Further speakers include: Murat Bayram (European Metal Recycling); Pouyan Dardashti (TSR Recycling Group); Wade Schuetzeberg (America Chung Nam); Ettore Musacchi (European Tyre Recycling Association); and Marc Ehrlich (Vipa Lausanne).
The conference will be followed-up by a river cruise gala dinner to showcase Berlin’s panoramic views of the Spree waterfront.
