The new plant, which involved an investment of round EUR 4.5 million, was officially opened on November 23 after a construction period of just six months.
After ten years, NGR says it enjoys a global reputation in plastics processing machinery. The company’s statistics include a workforce of 47, an export quota of 98% and some 400 systems sold to 42 countries on five continents. This expansion led to the need for a separate company location and the NGR management’s decision to build a new plant with a covered area of 32,000 m3 on a 20,000m2 site in the district of Feldkirchen a.d. Donau / Upper Austria.
The new NGR plant not only accommodates the sales, development, service and other central administration departments, but also the main spare parts store, assembly and dispatch and a test centre. Throughout the plant, NGR says it has turned the ’Next Generation’ aspects of its name into reality, which explains why the plant has no flues. During the winter, ground water is employed for underfloor heating in the production area and wall heating in the offices, while in summer it is used for cooling. This means that fossil fuels are not required and CO2 emissions are avoided.
