Keynote speaker for BIR’s Singapore Convention

China / India – The BIR world recycling body has invited Haiyan Wang to speak at its General Assembly in Singapore on May 24. Adjunct Professor of Strategy at INSEAD, she is also the Managing Partner of the China India Institute – a research and consulting organisation based in Washington, DC with a focus on creating winning global strategies that leverage the transformational rise of China and India. ‘Being able to offer Ms Wang’s knowledge and expertise to our members is a great achievement for BIR,’ comments the organisation’s World President Dominique Maguin. ‘I am certain that our delegates will draw enlightening conclusions from her speech, which they can use for their business ventures in Asia.’
A native of China, Ms Wang has spent the last 20 years consulting for and managing multi-national business operations in China and the USA in several different industry sectors. Her career background includes: managing steel imports for one of China’s largest conglomerates; leading the international partnering efforts of a prominent New York-based B2B on-line exchange; and consulting clients on strategic decision-making, complex project management and organisational process redesign.
Drawing on her broad international experience, she consults with clients and speaks at conferences on building and exploiting a global presence, with a particular focus on leveraging the rise of China.
Ms Wang is co-author of two highly-acclaimed books: ‘Getting China and India right’ and ‘The Quest for Global Dominance’. Her opinion pieces have appeared in the top international media.
