Germany – Polysius, part of the ThyssenKrupp Group, and recycling technology company Vecoplan, a subsidiary of MAX Automation, have established a joint venture to develop new environmental technology for the cement and lime industry.
The Vecoplan FuelTrack JV, based in Bad Marienberg, Germany, brings together the cement and lime manufacturing technology and plant construction expertise of Polysius with Vecoplan’s knowledge of alternative fuel production. The company will market a complete line of equipment that will convert domestic refuse and commercial waste streams into high-grade fuel to power the rotary kilns and calciners used in cement manufacture.
