Located on the nineteenth floor of the Bank of Shanghai Tower building overlooking the beautiful Huangpu River, the representative office will coordinating the sale of ships for recycling in to China. With the opening of GMS CHINA, GMS now covers all major ship recycling centres of the world with 24/7 service, the company says.
The China division will be led by Mr Ling Liu (Leo), who has worked for seven years in shipping including brokerage for newbuidlings, secondhand and demo vessels. Prior to becoming SNP broker, he worked in shipbuilding yards in China as Project Manager and Vice Director, contracting several newbuildings.
Incorporated more than 18 years ago in USA, GMS is the largest cash buyer of ships in the world and leads the recycling markets of the Indian subcontinent viz., Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.
