Proprietary technology enables Novarise to use post-consumer polypropylene in the production of fibre-grade recycled polypropylene pellets. These are then converted into a range of polypropylene fibre-based products, including filament yarn, webbing products and agricultural twine.
The polypropylene waste materials sourced by Novarise are mostly in the form of used CD cases, agricultural twine, safety nets, fishing nets, polypropylene yarn and polypropylene straps. The company is currently able to use 18 different types of polypropylene waste, sourced primarily from overseas. Its yarn, strap and webbing products are used to produce bags for global brands including Dell, IBM, Samsonite, Columbia, Nintendo, Disney, Apple, Fila, Umbro and Sony.
