Archiv – Italian PET bottle recycling company Maurizio Peruzzo intends to set up a production plant in Swidnica, Poland. The investment will cost an estimated PLN 18.3m (Euro 4.1m) and will cover an area more than 2.6 ha in size. The plant will manufacture PET granulate flakes and should be operable by June 2010.
Its Polish subsidiary, named Maurizio Peruzzo Polowat, is already operating two PET bottle recycling facilities in Poland. Polowat already manufactures PET flake at a plant in Bielsko-Biala capable of processing 18,000 tpa of post consumer PET bottles. The company also runs a smaller 14,000 tpa bottle branch recycling unit launched in Leczyca last year.
