US shredding machinery manufacturer The Shredder Company (TSC) and stainless steel producer TISCO have signed an agreement whereby TSC will supply a new 10,000 HP 124 SXS shredding plant. The new shredder will be capable of producing 700,000 tonnes per year of special products, including normal shredded steel scrap, shredded stainless steel sheet, cooling scrap for carbon steel and cooling scrap for stainless steel manufacturing.
Vice General Manager Gao Xiangming said in his remarks that TISCO was moving ahead with this very important project that will improve their productivity, will save energy and will protect the environment. This decision was made after serious study by TISCO engineers who were tasked to find the best available equipment. TISCO is the world’s largest producer of stainless steel products with more than 3,000,000 tonnes of production each year. In addition, TISCO produce more than 8,000,000 tonnes of carbon steel products.
TSC Chief Executive Officer Scott Newell expressed sincere appreciation to the group of TISCO executives who were present for the signing ceremony, for the confidence that they have shown in The Shredder Company and in the 124 SXS shredding system. Mr Newell assured the TISCO executives that TSC have the experience, the ability and the desire to produce this world’€™s best practice shredding plant.
