Christian Rubach, who is President of the BIR world recycling body’s Ferrous Division and of the European Ferrous Recovery and Recycling Federation (EFR), has chosen to step down from his position on the executive board but will continue to work with the firm as a consultant. Volker Hars, formerly Executive Financial Officer at the Australia-based Lynas Corporation, will take over executive board responsibility for steel and metals recycling.
The Schweitzer brothers are both co-owners of the Berlin-based family-run business Alba AG which holds around 56% of the shares in Interseroh AG. ’While Interseroh and Alba work in different markets, they are able to complement the entire value-added chain for the benefit of both companies,’€™ comments Axel Schweitzer. Cologne-based Interseroh operates 70 sites and employs 1820 people within Europe.
