The brothers were coming back from Gadani ‘€’ the base of Pakistan’s shipbreaking industry – and were on their way to Karachi when they came under attack, sources say. The injured Abid was brought to Civil Hospital Karachi along with the dead body of his slain brother, who died on the spot.
In December 2007, Azam Malik was re-elected unopposed as Chairman of the PSBA for the year 2007-08. Azam, a 54 years old kind-hearted and soft-spoken person belonged to Lahore, Mehmood Yousaf, a manager at PSBA told Pakistan news paper Business Recorder. He said that Azam leaves wife, a son and two daughters, to mourn his death.
