The new, hydraulically-operated Lindemann CR Crusher is a low-speed, dual-shaft, pre-grinding unit boasting a special configuration of grinding tools. It is especially suited to: the coarse grinding of residual materials and waste at thermal and mechanical waste utilisation plants, landfills and industrial enterprises; and also to the processing of waste wood from demolition sites.
According to Metso Lindemann, the CR Crusher is a technically-advanced machine by virtue of its mechanical design advantages and its well-conceived drive and control system. These features are said to have a particularly positive impact on throughput, operational reliability, power consumption, maintenance and wear, claims the company.
The CR Crusher incorporates a patented solid-piece detection system, automatic rotor reversal, rotors driven directly (ie without intermediate gearing) via hydraulic motors, safe location of bearings outside the cutting area, and electronic PLC control and monitoring system.
The Lindemann CR 225-8 offers reliable intake of material, aggressive fragmentisation via the breaking-up and crushing of material both along and across the rotor axes, load-controlled speed regulation, and active fragmentation even during reverse operation. The machine is said to be ideal for processing commercial waste, demolition timber, household waste and even difficult materials such as bulky refuse containing a high proportion of carpets and mattresses. Throughput can be up to 50 tons per hour depending on the type of material.
