Netherlands – Aircraft End of Life Services (AELS), an emerging airplane dismantler and recycler, has touched down at Woensdrecht Airport – a former military airbase in the south of the Netherlands – where it is joining forces with maintenance firm Fokker Aerospace Services.
Operating to the one-stop shop principle, AELS is capable of dismantling end-of-life aircraft, reselling working components and recycling materials. At the new Aviolanda Business Park, AELS can receive aircraft up to the size of an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. After a parking period, either Fokker Aerospace Services will re-activate the aircraft following an upgrade or AELS will recycle it.
AELS develops and executes end-of-life strategies for aircraft owners all over the world. At Aviolanda, the company recently started dismantling its first Boeing 737.
