VEKA to launch new PVC recyclate

United Kingdom – UK-based PVC specialist VEKA Recycling has unveiled a new recyclate suitable for use in a wide range of PVC-U extruded products. It will receive its official launch at the K 2013 international trade fair for plastics and rubber taking place in the German city of Düsseldorf on October 16-23.

VEKA can now supply domestic and European markets with PVC-U pellet and micronised powder derived from post-consumer window frames. ‘K 2013 gives us the perfect opportunity to introduce our recycled finished products to the market and to explore potential product options with designers, innovators and manufacturers interested in developing new sustainable solutions,’ says Tony Cattini, UK managing director of VEKA Recycling.

Established in the UK since 2007 and with an annual recycling capacity of 20 000-plus tonnes, the Kent-based company is part of the VEKA Recycling Group, which has processing facilities in three European countries and has more than two decades’ recycling experience in producing pelletised material that can be used in new extrusion products, including windows.
