BIR webpages now in Spanish and Mandarin

United States – In order to reach out even more effectively to Latin American and Chinese companies and associations, the BIR world recycling organisation has introduced Spanish and Mandarin translations of its static website pages at www.BIR.org.

The development reflects not only BIR’s growing membership in the Chinese and South American markets but also its preparations for the 2014 World Recycling Convention & Exhibition in Miami, to which it is hoping to attract a significant number of visitors from Latin America in particular.

China and Latin America represent significant business opportunities, according to BIR. The organisation hopes to offer industry professionals in these regions the ability to familiarise themselves with BIR and ‘the advantages of being part of a strong international business network’.

All static web pages – including ‘About BIR’, ‘The Industry’ and ‘Membership’ sections – can be accessed via the respective language icon in the top right-hand corner of the page. All dynamic pages, such as News/Press, Events and Publications, will remain in English in order to maintain the up-to-date nature of their content, says the world recycling body.
