Tyre dumping scandal in Australia

Australia – Australia’s largest tyre recycling company Carbon Polymers has abandoned thousands of tyres at its depots around the country and is now under investigation by the New South Wales Environment Protection Authority. And according to media reports, Carbon Polymers is about to change names and exit the tyre recycling business.

Carbon Polymers is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, which means its shares can be traded and it must continuously update shareholders as to changes which materially affect the value of the company.
