Experts in automotive recycling are being urged to share their expertise at the next key gathering of the industry.

The organisers of the International Automotive Recycling Congress (IARC) 2025 are staging the next edition in Antwerp from 19-21 March. For 24 years, IARC has been driving sustainable practices and innovation in automotive recycling.

OEMs

The congress will focus on the circular economy and recycling within the automotive industry, emphasising the role of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of cars, motorcycles and other vehicles worldwide.

As the industry faces increasing pressure from decarbonisation, raw material scarcity and new regulations, OEMs are expected to take on greater responsibilities and navigate significant financial implications.

Issues

Key topics include:

  • global automotive and recycling insights
  • The EU’s ELV regulation and its impact
  • Market responses and case studies
  • Effects on manufacturers and type approval
  • Extended Producer Responsibilities
  • New technologies and investments in dismantling
  • ELV and used car export best practice
  • Vehicle traceability and vehicle passports

Submissions for papers to the event must be sent by 18 October.
