BHS boosted by AMNI deal

Germany – Crushing and shearing expert BHS-Sonthofen has acquired all the patents, trademarks and technical designs of the recycling technology division of fellow German business AMNI Maschinenbau following the latter’s insolvency last December.

This move has allowed BHS to expand its product range into shredding technology using cutting tools. The company now covers the full range of crushing and shredding technology for both brittle and elastic materials. The rotor shears and granulators acquired from AMNI and upgraded by BHS will be unveiled at the forthcoming IFAT trade fair in Munich.

‘We can now offer all commercially available crushing and shredding processes in the field of recycling with our own machines,’ says Dennis Kemmann, managing director of BHS-Sonthofen. Maintenance and repair of existing plants and the supply of spare parts to former AMNI customers will be carried out henceforth by the BHS service team, he adds.

Among its products, AMNI manufactured ‘robust’ rotor shears and granulators of various sizes for the treatment of electronic waste, cables, refuse-derived fuels and tyres with a diameter of up to 3 metres.
